Free Photo Shoot Contest

Victoria Peach Designs is looking for models to help market her photography skills. I have decided to have a contest to choose who will win a free photo shoot where their photos will be used for my portfolio. There will be 2 winners for each category.

Please note:
The photo shoots will take place in Houston, TX, USA and winners will be responsible to provide their own transportation and lodging costs to the photo shoot

The winners will receive:
A free photo shoot [ages under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian]
Photos will be displayed on our website & marketing materials

Categories:
-Baby [unable to walk]
-Toddler [walking - 6 yrs]
-Preteen [7yrs -12 yrs]
-Teen [13 yrs - 17yrs]
-Adult [18yrs & up]

To enter the contest:
1. Fill out the form at this link: Application Form
2. Upload 2 photos [see below categories for the photo requirements] Note: Copy written photos will not be accepted without a photography release form.

Category photo requirements:
-Baby [two headshots]
-Toddler [two headshots]
-Preteen [two headshots]
-Teen [one headshot & one full body]
-Adult [one headshot & one full body]

How to take your entry photographs:
Remember that you must submit two (2) color images. The photos should at least be 3.5" x 5" in size. If a friend or family member is going to take your photos, make sure the photos look like you. Please do not submit images including other people.

Remember that this is a Contest and you will be judged on the quality of the photographs, so please do not send blurry or out of focus images, as they will be rejected. Remember your first impression is everything.

Your make-up should look very clean. The location and background you pick is important... so make sure the background does not distract our attention away from you.

Please do not send any nude photographs.

The Official Rules to enter:
1. You can find an official entry form online at http://www.victoriapeachdesigns.com

2. Following the guidelines set forth on the web site concerning dress and photo style, submit two color photographs. NUDITY IS UNACCEPTABLE. You must submit at least one image; however we prefer two (2) images. Both photos must be in color and the images should be at least 3.5”x5"in size. Please make sure the pictures are of good quality and are not blurry. Model should be the only person in the image and model should be standing against a solid background.

3. By entering, contestants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. All entries become the sole property of Victoria Peach Designs, and entries including photos will not be returned.

4. Before selecting the Finalists, Victoria Peach Designs reserve the right to request additional photographs and/or a video taped interview of a contestant prior to the announcement of the winner to be used to narrow the selection. Judges will base their decisions to break any ties on the additional photographs and/or video taped performance provided by the contestant. The judging will be conducted by a representative of the Victoria Peach Designs.

5. There are no height or size restrictions to enter.

6. PRIZES: GRAND PRIZE: GRAND PRIZE winners will receive a a free photo shoot with Victoria Peach Designs.

WINNER will be determined on November 2, 2009. Contestants will be judged on the information provided on their entry form, clarity of photographs ,and content of photographs, including the quality of the shot, image selection and model potential. There are no height or size restrictions to enter. The Winner will be notified by phone and/or e-mail. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Taxes are the winner's responsibility. Entry constitutes permission (except where prohibited) for Producer and Sponsors to use winner's name, images and likeness for publicity purposes worldwide without additional compensation and without prior notice. Producer, Sponsors and their affiliated companies, officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively "Companies and Representatives") are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, or postage-due mail. Participants in this contest hereby waive and release, and agree to hold harmless Companies and Representatives, from and against, any and all rights, claims and causes of action whatsoever that they may have, or which may arise, against any of them for any liability for any matter, cause or thing whatsoever, including but not limited to any injury, loss, damage, whether direct, compensatory, incidental or consequential, to person, including death and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from their acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize in the contest, or their participation in this contest or any contest or prize related activity, or any travel related to the contest or prize related activity. Companies and Representatives are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected or damaged entries or internet technical, hardware, software, telephone or transmission failures of any kind which may limit a person's ability to enter the contest. Companies and Representatives are not responsible for any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from entering or downloading any materials in the sweepstakes. Producer and Sponsors reserve the right to cancel or suspend advertising the contest on the internet should a computer virus, unauthorized intervention or other cause corrupt the integrity or proper conduct of the promotion. Producer and Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any entrant found to be disrupting the operation of the contest or web site.

Project 365

I will be starting the 365 Project where I take 1 photo a day for a year and share it with the world. I plan to start this on November 1, 2009. I am really looking forward to this project. I feel that it will improve my photography skills when it comes to lighting, composition, and creativity.
